How to reach Lisboa, Portugal

By Air

Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) is the main international airport serving Lisbon. The airport is located seven kilometres northeast of the city centre. This strategic location makes it easy to get to your hotel/conference venue.
Major airlines operate regular flights to Lisbon. In total there are 137 airports around the world that have direct flights to Lisbon, spread around 126 cities in 49 countries.

By Train

If you are in Europe, you can check for train services to Lisbon, by using the website of CP - Comboios de Portugal (Train Services). The main train stations are "Santa Apolónia" and "Gare do Oriente".
The high-speed train service, known as Alfa Pendular, connects major cities in Portugal.

How to travel to downtown and in Lisboa

Arriving at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon, also known as Lisbon Airport, and making your way to downtown Lisbon is a straightforward journey. Here is a brief guide on how to get there:

Metro

One of the most convenient and cost-effective ways to reach downtown Lisbon from the airport is by taking the metro. The Red Line (Linha Vermelha) connects the airport to downtown Lisbon, with stations at key locations such as Alameda, Saldanha, and Baixa-Chiado.

Bus/Shuttle

Another option is to take the airport bus service, known as Aerobus. This bus service offers dedicated routes between the airport and various central locations in Lisbon. In addition, some hotels in downtown Lisbon offer shuttle services for their guests.

Taxi/Uber

Taxis are readily available at the airport, with ranks located just outside the Arrivals area. Additionally, Lisbon Airport has an exclusive Uber pick-up point (at the Departure area), making it easier to request an Uber for your journey to downtown Lisbon.
